Mass Effect 2 - Launch Screen Bug

I'm not even sure how to begin to describe this but...

I bought the Mass Effect trilogy the other day, since it was only 10 dollars on gamestop's website. ANYWAY! That's not my problem - my main concern is that Mass Effect 2 is installed, launched, and the DLC is loaded, just fine. I can click it and it brings up, what I am guessing is the 'launch' screen where they usually tell you the supporters I guess. This is where the game goes downhill for me. 

My best description as to what is happening:

The game launches - I can hear the music, and choose menu options. That's about it. The picture looks like its a tiny strip of color (flickering back and forth) and there's multiple strips of color running through. I can see my mouse pointer, and there are also several copies of that as well. 

I'm not sure if anyone can help with this situation or not. I've already chatted with a few people from the help center but it didn't do any good. So maybe someone else has had trouble with this? 

I just installed Mass Effect 3 and I'm having the same problem. Mass Effect 1 works just fine though.
