Move the "BIOGame" folder out of the "Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 2" folder as well > Test.
If that also don't works:
- Go to your ">drive<:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 2\__Installer\vc\vc2005\redist" folder.
- Run the "vcredist_x86.exe" as administrator. (Right click the Exe > Run as an Administrator)
- Reboot.
- Test.
Just tried that...
Windows asked me if the file ran ok or if I required troubleshooting after I did that.
Restarted my PC and tried again and still no luck.

Do you have a set a compatibility mode for the "vcredist_x86.exe"or the"MassEffect2.exe"?
Please create a DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply.
If you use Windows 7 also go to your Reliability monitor > Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time and copy and paste or type "perfmon /rel" (without the quotes) in the new Window > hit “ENTER” and look if it has entries for the game you have trouble with.
If yes double click at the all entrys for the game executable, copy the info to the clipboard, and save it to a text file. You can attach the DxDiag text file you created (and the “Reliability monitor” text file as well) to your post in the “Reply” window with the “Choose File” button.
