Mass Effect 2 crashes

Hello. I recently started playng Mass effect 2 on pc. I didn't have many problems until i tried to go into the crew deck. Whenever I try to go into the crew deck the loading scree just keeps on going, i am usure whether its just taking a long tme or if it's a crash. I just need help concidering that I need to get to the crew deck to do the loyalty missions
