Mass effect 2 dlc problem

Hello. I entered a code for Zaeed on the EA website. The EA account was linked to my Xbox account. I then was like, shouldnt i put it on the ME website instead? I redeemed it on the EA website prior. So will I still get the DLC, and how will I download it? How will it like, detect it.
