Mass Effect 2 force Anti Aliasing

After spending a whole afternoon trying to get the AA for ME2 working with almost every suggestion available, I give it up but maybe someone can help me.

I bought the game on Origin, so I can't rename the .exe in UT3 or something else, because Origin won't load it then.

So I tried to use the Nvidia Control Panel to force AA and AF with the override mode. It didn't make any difference.

My next try was with Nvidia Inspector, so I loaded the ME2 profile and launched the game with almost every NVI settings, recommended on the internet.

The game still seems to don't give a s***.

Specs:

NVIDIA GTX670

Intel I5-3550 @ 3.30

8GB RAM

Latest version of the Game, GPU driver and N-Inspector installed

Does anyone have an idea on how I can get this thing to work?

Thanks.

  • When you try to override the game's AA settings, which executable do you select? I have MassEffect2.exe and ME2Game.exe. I use the latter.

  • The Mass Effect 2 Profile on Nvidia Inspector comes with MassEffect2Launcher.exe and MassEffect2.exe and I added ME2Game.exe manually.

  • I also have this problem and it has everything to do with the fact the game launches from the Origin client (even if you manually add the ME2Game.exe to Nvidia Control Panel and launch from that executable rather than masseffect2.exe this problem persists.)  I know this is the case, because when I install the game directly from the original retail box discs that I still happen to have, I can force anti-aliasing settings properly and the game looks very sharp.  Not the case with the Origin game client, though.  It's very disappointing that the Origin client interferes with the Nvidia settings in this manner.

Hi, having this same problem. I would like to play this game with nvidia control panel enhancements but it seems Origin is preventing the game from using these settings. Has anyone got a workaround?
