Mass effect 2 help!

Hey everyone. I’m reaching out to you in hopes that I can get this resolved. I reached out to ea support through Twitter ang they referred me to hq. I’m having issues with the mass effect trilogy again. Several months ago I reached out to hq because I had an issue with mass effect 2. Well I’m having the same issue again. The game simply doesn’t load. Game 1 and 3 work though.

Here’s what I’ve done with twitters ea help. I wiped all 3 games clean. Initially they suggested I create a new user account with admin privileges to see if the game would load under the user account. Mass effect 2 did load. So then they told me that I could transfer the files to the user account so I wouldn’t lose my progress. When I transferred the files to the user account, this time the game didn’t load at all. The game logo never showed either. So that told ea support through Twitter that something in my saves was corrupted. So they had me wipe the game clean to see if that’d fix the issue. It did not fix the issue. After wiping the game clean, it still didn’t load. If didn’t load under my regular account or the user account.

When all this started happening again, I attempted to try some of the steps that I took a few months ago to see if I could get the game working, but nothing happened. Also I think the trilogy fried my monitor because one day it just was white on one side and had white lines all across the screen. Which made no sense to me why it would go out. It didn’t make sense because my windows vista computer is older and the monitor still works on that pc. Both monitors are hp. My windows vista pc went out around spring of 2018 but I kept it for parts.

Prior to contacting ea support through Twitter, I made sure my hardware and software was upto date. When I wiped the trilogy clean, it gave an error that said that my hardware isn’t supported and that I may experience instability. Any help would be appreciated! Trevor

I moved all files and folders.. but it doesn’t make sense. It worked when I switched to user with no game content. Even after I deleted all the files and uninstalled the game, under user, it still didn’t work. I honestly think that something in the game is corrupted. Would a different key help? My original key that I got for the trilogy, never worked and that’s basically what started the whole thing. When I bought the trilogy, I had to get help right away because apparently the key that came with the game, somehow was already in use and I had to contact support and had them give me a different key just so it’d work. As of right now, I have no game content or files on my pc. No profiles. So I’m not sure what to do. Game 1 and 3 work but not 2. I’ve alsi read that there’s been cases where people have said that one of the games never works. It’ll be 1 and 3 that’ll work and not 2. Or 2 and 3 will work and not 1. I also think that part of the issue is the type of system I have. It’s not compatible with the games in general and it’s a pain in the butt to get it working.

    1. Delete the new user account you created > Reboot.
    2. Create a different new user account (Administrator) > Reboot > Log in to the new user account and test the game.

If the game runs in this new user account do not move any files just now. Inform us, then we will give you a guide how to move the files.
