Mass Effect 2 LE - Lair of the Shadow Broker bug

Hi all! 

So recently I finished my third walkthrough in MELE however there has been a problem in Mass Effect 2 DLC - Lair of the Shadow Broker (In my first 2 gameplays I never had any problem). I had few bugs during gameplay:

1. After taxi chase, when you crash in Hotel Azure, Liara was completely blocked from squad. I couldn't access her through Squad menu to upgrade her skills nor was I able to use her during the fight, also she was nowhere to be seen so it was kinda painful going through that fight without her Singularity on Insanity. I fixed it only after finished the fight and save/loaded the game.

2. After fight against Vasir and conversation with Liara, you get short cinematic going after Shadow Broker on Hagalaz. Screen went black and I had to go through Task Manager to shut game down since it didn't allow me to save/load the game (luckily it had auto save).

3. This one was the worst. After I finished the fight with Shadow Broker and conversation with Liara, you should appear in front of her door through which you can go and visit her, however after conversation screen went black. I tried save/load the game but it didn't work, after that I tried battling Shadow Broker again however the outcome was the same. The worst part, it didnt allow me to continue my gameplay so it was stuck. I tried replaying the whole DLC, still nothing. I also tried repairing and redownloading the game, still nothing. I wanted to check older saves and they worked. In short, all other saves worked beside the DLC. Game didn't crash at any point it was just black screens.

Also, I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but during whole ME2LE, sometimes on Normandy, I lose sound.

Anyone has any suggestions?

    @andjelikamikasan 

    Did you repaired with Origin or Steam?

    If only Steam also try to to repair over Origin.

    If that doesn't help create a DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply. You can do that  with the "Choose file" button at the bottom right corner of the reply window.

    @holger1405 Stumbled across this thread when I encountered a very similar issue to this person. I had some really weird stuff happen throughout the DLC. The issue I'm facing is at the end of the shadow broker DLC when you defeat the boss and try to leave. Instead of loading the introduction cutscene with glyph, it instead loads to a mostly black screen, though you can see shepard t-posing. Can't move or do anything except open my menu and even make a save. Though that save does nothing really as it loads you right back into that bugged state.

    I'm currently repairing my game files though it will take a while. Just in case that doesn't fix the issue, I preemptively created a DxDiag text file before starting the process. Hopefully repairing the game will help and I will soon find out and if anything can be gleamed from the text file, hopefully, it could also have an answer as to why this problem is occurring.

    @holger1405 I have the game on Steam. I ran repair through origin which brought up the steam repair tool. I used texture mods and DLC packaged mods. When repairing it removed the textures and any mods which made any direct edits to the game. I went back to a save before the fight with the SB and it still lead to the same result. The last time I played through ME2 I had mods on then as well though it didn't cause this issue. Having said that though, I know that it can still cause issues even if I hadn't experienced them before. I went to an older save before I started the SB DLC and completed everything else and just used a save editor to add the flags to show that I had "completed" it for my ME3 import. I acknowledge that it was most likely one of those DLC packaged mods that caused the issue.

    For anyone having this problem in the future, create a save and edit it through the save editor.


    Go to "Raw data", then open the "Location" dropdown there and input these values:

    X: 12000

    Y: -1000

    Z: 300

    After loading the save, you should be at the entrance to the shadow broker base.
