Mass effect 2 Origin error 131079:6
Hi,
I've just purchased Mass Effect 2. When attempting to download via Origin, an message is displayed from within Origin after attempting to download showing Error 131079:6. "Wait a few minutes". No download is started, just error message is displayed. This has not been observed for other games from Origin.
I've done the following:
Action 1: Waited 24 hours. Attempted to download again. Same error message observed.
Action 2: Reviewed forum details. All responses indicate issue with Origin installation.
Action 3. Re-installed Origin. Attempted to download again. Same error message observed.
Origin version 9.1.15.109 - 218578
Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 3 downloaded and able to be played without this error appearing.
Windows 8 64 bit
Can you please advise the steps to fix?

I found a solution.
I originally had my installers directory on Z:\Games and the installation directory to be D:\Origin Games
This was because my C: drive is 256GB SSD. D: drive is 4TB. Z: drive is 15TB NAS.
I fixed the problem by changing the install directory to c:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\ and the Game Installers directory to D:\Origin Games\
I don't know which one was the trigger point, but I suspect it was the Z: drive.
