To make this clear, because you might interpret this post in a way it was not meant to be. I did not mean that you can't have a relationship after the suicide mission if you did not had one before.
That is of course possible.
But you can't have a second relationship, in the same playthrough, if you don't explode the "backdoor" I described in my previous post.
I understood what you meant, you don't think a second relationship after the suicide mission is intended. Perhaps you could clarify what you think is a "backdoor" to having a second relationship?
As far as I'm aware, in the original game you can start a second relationship (even after the suicide mission) as long as you haven't already passed the point in the conversation with the second person where you must lock in or reject them. Then you can talk to them and have a conflict between the two relationships. How is this a back door method?

Yes, and only then, and as I said in my initial post, I don't think this was intended behaviour because the relationship phat in the game is set to be concluded at the point when you hit the omega 4 Relay.
If you have any developer quotes or other evidence that proves that this is wrong, feel free to share it.

I explained how it's possible to start a second relationship after the suicide mission and asked why you think this isn't intended, and your response was "the relationship is set to be concluded" prior to that. Your answer to why this isn't intended amounts to "it's not supposed to be like that." It worked this way in the original game, and it's perfectly reasonable for someone to have not yet rejected all potential romances by the end of the game.
As for developer quotes, there's the literal message in-game saying you can develop relationships after the suicide mission, and conversely there's no developer quotes saying you shouldn't be able to do this.
It's clear this conversation isn't going anywhere.
- @holger1405 I Restarted my console without turning off the power point and I tried to romance Jack and it still doing the black screen it’s still doing a bit of a black screen on the squad mate points menu it’s doing the black screen on the main menu a * the only things that are like a normal colours are the menu bars like the save button the load button options codecs main menu map squad journal photo mode and resume there is a little bit of blackness in the resources bar but it’s not completely covering what resources I have the Cerberus logo In the middle of the menu the background of the menu is spinning I didn’t notice that before but I just noticed that now but there is a separate logo spinning hold on I’m gonna check before the glitch if that still the case Yeah it’s a false alarm that a Cerberus spinning behind main menu is normal
As said, it is entirely possible, even likely, that this is a bug.
I still would completely reinstall the game to make sure.
(But I know that can be problematic if you don't have a disk and you need to download it.)
- @holger1405 i’ve got the disc version of the game but the only thing is it would be a hassle to try and reinstall all the games because then I would have to disconnect my Xbox from the Internet to reinstall all the game data the on disk to the console because with the day one patch it basically has to download the other two games via Internet

- @holger1405 Thanks, I'll delete the game (not the save files) and reinstall the game just in case as I have the game disc.
- @holger1405 I uninstalled and reinstall mass effect 2 and now just tried a romance after suicide mission I can confirm that the glitch still happens the screen still goes black the point menu goes black where commander shepherds faith is in between the renegade and paragon levels bars
Then it is most probably a bug.
- @holger1405 I have a question and this is related to the romance glitch in a way I noticed a few people having difficulties unlocking certain achievements/trophies could it be possible that certain glitches like this Romance glitch could be having an affect with the achievements/trophy unlocks abilities
I have no idea how the achievement mechanics on the consoles work.
So all I could say would be a speculation, and I rather don't do that.
- @holger1405 Well wouldn’t that be a fair guess that every achievement/trophy unlocking magnetism has to track in game data such as the plot flag and player choice data to unlock the achievements/trophies during the game
@dylan881Now that you mention it, that might be it, there could be a flag poll problem. I have reported how the intro to ME2 LE starts with the conversation between Miranda and The Illusive Man take place while ignoring the following line in the original game: "Saving the Citadel and saving the Council" to them saying a generic quote if players imported from the Genesis comic now, the game tracks what we did in ME1 LE. If that happens at that point it might happen at more points.
This is definitely some sort of script problem, not a graphics problem. For one, if you romance Tali and get that glitch, you do not get her "after-sex" reply. And I checked via save editor, save after the glitch does not register that you had sex with her. So it's not just scene not playing, it's the entire script not launching, so the game doesn't register your "Paramour" achievement either, cause it's part of this script too.
- @Sagrim-Ur so would it be a fair guess that perhaps the script not launching properly that’s affecting the romance achievement could also be the same with the other achievement/trophies that aren’t unlocking properly could that also be something
- @dylan881 I wonder if there are more scripts issues in the LE but rather than just being in the trophy/achievement system we have more of those on conversations (like the one about the hole in the Geth Dreadnaugh and more aboard the Normandy regarding conversations), don't comment in the link as even though no official CM addressed them it's still treated like a dead post and you can get your account disabled if you add to it:
