- @holger1405 I uninstalled and reinstall mass effect 2 and now just tried a romance after suicide mission I can confirm that the glitch still happens the screen still goes black the point menu goes black where commander shepherds faith is in between the renegade and paragon levels bars
Then it is most probably a bug.
- @holger1405 I have a question and this is related to the romance glitch in a way I noticed a few people having difficulties unlocking certain achievements/trophies could it be possible that certain glitches like this Romance glitch could be having an affect with the achievements/trophy unlocks abilities
I have no idea how the achievement mechanics on the consoles work.
So all I could say would be a speculation, and I rather don't do that.
- @holger1405 Well wouldn’t that be a fair guess that every achievement/trophy unlocking magnetism has to track in game data such as the plot flag and player choice data to unlock the achievements/trophies during the game
@dylan881Now that you mention it, that might be it, there could be a flag poll problem. I have reported how the intro to ME2 LE starts with the conversation between Miranda and The Illusive Man take place while ignoring the following line in the original game: "Saving the Citadel and saving the Council" to them saying a generic quote if players imported from the Genesis comic now, the game tracks what we did in ME1 LE. If that happens at that point it might happen at more points.
This is definitely some sort of script problem, not a graphics problem. For one, if you romance Tali and get that glitch, you do not get her "after-sex" reply. And I checked via save editor, save after the glitch does not register that you had sex with her. So it's not just scene not playing, it's the entire script not launching, so the game doesn't register your "Paramour" achievement either, cause it's part of this script too.
- @Sagrim-Ur so would it be a fair guess that perhaps the script not launching properly that’s affecting the romance achievement could also be the same with the other achievement/trophies that aren’t unlocking properly could that also be something
- @dylan881 I wonder if there are more scripts issues in the LE but rather than just being in the trophy/achievement system we have more of those on conversations (like the one about the hole in the Geth Dreadnaugh and more aboard the Normandy regarding conversations), don't comment in the link as even though no official CM addressed them it's still treated like a dead post and you can get your account disabled if you add to it:

The achievement is unlooked as well.Hold on a second if this is a script wouldn’t that mean at some point during the development that someone may have accidentally mixed up the script for the romancing or altered it in someway maybe not unintentionally that’s also causing this glitch and could this script problem also have some minor affect with other achievements/trophies not unlocking properly as well
After ME2's release there were a number of discussions and debates on the official forum about Kelly's romance not counting toward the achievement. Perhaps the arguments presented by the pro-Kelly side persuaded BW to include her romance in ME3.
- @dylan881 @EA_Mako If this is indeed a scrip problem then a lot of the problems with conversations (including the conversations with Ashley Williams that aren't alternative romance lines in ME3 and the disconnect of both Kaidan and Ashley romance scenes also in ME3 that shows their faces moving out of sink) can also be traced to that, but that needs to be investigated by PC modders so to confirm or deny that fact. And if they do confirm that they should start sharing that with us so we can better organize our comments peacefully on Bioware social media sites seeing as they are ignoring us.
I just thought of something the gameplay of the romancing could it be That the cut scene synchronisation also the problem because again the dialogue before the romancing works fine it’s just after the initial dialogue sing with a lock in point is Cut scene doesn’t happen now I’ve tried it on the 360 romancing after suicide mission and works normally works fine so it has to be something to do with how the development of the legacy Edition has been done maybe a corrupted file in game because in my mind I keep thinking that they used the original files for the Legacy Edition so maybe during the development something happened that maybe they didn’t detect and annoying I’m probably rambling on something that is not a game breaker but it’s something I can’t get out of my head it’s like that mystery I want to solve because in my mind I’m thinking why is it working for the 360 version of the game now I don’t know about the PS3 version I don’t know if it works normally on that one but if they used the original files from the old versions for this new version of the game and upgraded version then why isn’t it working properly The only other thing I could think of is with photo mode maybe the new piece of programming might of caught something as well it’s just so many variables that of course this and I think this is something worth investigating because this could happen in the next game

1) it is Bioware so they likely fixed what wasn't broken and won't comment through any official means to admit their mistakes or than the modders for fixing their games again for free;
2) it is game breaking because a piece of code that is either missing or corrupted doesn't allow the game to function as it should be.
Bioware silence to all of these issues says a lot more than their words. - @draconiam well technically it’s not because the romance mechanic works like it supposed to before suicide mission it’s just after the suicide mission so it could be something to do with the The plot flagging recognition because all the romance things technically happen before the final mission so it could be something with post suicide mission romancing mechanics be glitchy and the other fact that I looked at this is it exclusive to the console versions of the game because I have no way of looking in the PC versions file to see if there is any plot flag corruption but considering how achievements/trophies have been affected in this game as well there could be bugs that cause cascade effect with one part of the mechanics but I’m also considering and I don’t know if you would agree considering the fact that they had to altar the third game in terms of removing a lot of the achievement coding for the multiplayer that would also cause and affect because correct me if I’m wrong they had to put all three games in one disc so they would have to put all the coding and plot flag files on one disc as well at least for the console version hardcopies as Wellers making a alterations to the achievement of themselves because they did if you compare achievements from the original versions of the games to the legacy edition then that also might be something that could cause this glitch
Again, Bioware should address this but they are likely not doing so.

Just encountered this black screen glitch post suicide mission. Talked to Tali; she mentioned she wants to be exclusive. Screen blacks out. Miraculously, I somehow made it from the drive core area back to where Tali stands and triggered her conversation again, which made the screen normal again. No issues after that, but I found the glitch very weird.
