Mass Effect 2 way to bloody dark shadows... aka the classic "crushed blacks".
Guys... you did a good job in the end. Thank you. (in spite of the Miranda but shots aka pea under the sheats... XD )
Now... I also apreciate staying fatefull to the original.
But this is ridiculous! XD You kept the exact same issue present in the first one. The exact same bug.
In Mass Effect 2 the blacks are way to crushed. Everything is WAY to dark.
Many people on the net are complaining about this.
We suspect that the bellow line is at fault present in the file at this location: ME2/Engine/Shaders/SFXUberPostProcessBlendPixelShader.usf
- line 82 «half3 x = max(0, InColour-0.004); ».
That "-0.004" was the issue in the first Mass Effect 2. Now that legendary came, its still there, in the exact same form XD
Only now we can't fix it our selves due to probably a write protection inserted by you.
If I delete that negative value with notepad, the came will crash each time I try to run it. (in the first, this didn't happen and we could solve it ourselves)
As it stands, everything is WAY to dark, so dark that we can barelly see white characters on Omega, and black characters... well... they become invisible.
SO, pls solve it urgently.
Either fix it yourselves, or remove the write protection and let us fix it ourselves just as before.
Please... its really bothersome.
At this point it really ruins out experience. We either play it witouth Deapthof field, or with really high gamma. Both solutions ruin the graphics you so painstakingly worked to improve.
Thank you in advance.
EDIT: The gama lvl I use in the screenshots is 3 out of 10 O_o. If I go higher than that, everything becomes more washed out while the blacks become even blacker if that makes sense...
EDIT 2: Imagine if my character was black in those screenshots XD Seriously, this needs fixing fast.
