Mass effect 2: Your hardware is unsupported and game wont even start

I believe you have to go into the Nvidia control panel, go to 'manage 3D settings' and make sure the Nvidia GPU is always preferred.

If you've done that, or it simply doesn't work, you may have to disable the integrated graphics entirely to force the system to launch ME2 with the Nvidia GPU. You may be able to disable the Intel graphics in your BIOS. If Windows doesn't boot after this, you have a deeper problem, so just reboot and enable the integrated graphics again.
