Mass Effect 2

Question

So I was playing Mass Effect 2 on Steam, and there's this mission about deactivating Javelin Missiles in a Colony. So I ran through the whole thing and after choosing which part of the colony to save to deactivate the Javelin, the game did two things for me:

1. The game suddenly stuck up, I waited for 30 minutes and it was the same. So I restarted my device by pressing the power button for a couple of seconds because the game doesn't let me Alt+Tab to the task manager.

2. The game didn't have any option for me to return to the Normandy. I could move around the map, but there seems no way to get out of the area.

Has anyone encountered this before? I know it's an old game, and there's probably a work around for this but I can't seem to find anything in forums in the internet.

Make sure "Always on top" is set under the "Options" menu tab in the Task manager.

For the problem:
Try to repair the game.
(in Origin &gt; Game Library &gt; right click ME3 &gt; Repair)
(in Steam &gt; right click at ME3 &gt; Properties &gt; Local Files &gt; Verify integrity of game cache.)

If that don't helps the Save file itself is probably corrupted.
You could use console chats to go to the Normandy, but if the Save file is damaged it could do more harm than good. Then using an older Save file is the best option imho.
