As the title says, my installation of ME is now freezing after about 5 minutes. The only thing that changed was that when I opened Origin it said I had to install the EA App and that Origin would be uninstalled. I've uninstalled, deleted all the files in My Documents, reinstalled the game, and it's still doing this.Frankly, this sort of stuff where you force a new app on the user and it breaks their games really upsets me.My specs:Win 11 21H2Ryzen 7 5800X3DRTX 3080 10GB LHRASUS Crosshair VIII Hero (Wi-Fi)32GB DDR4 @3600 MHz CL142TB WD Black SN850Edit:After restarting the PC the game now freezes at 2 minutes 30 seconds. It's like clockwork.

I had similar trouble on Windows 10 (first link above), after extensive troubleshooting I've found that turning on EA App in-game overlay fixed it for me, but no one else replayed if it helped them. Would be nice to get some feedback - if you can please write if it is or is not working.

On my Win 10 ME1 only needs admin privileges (not even a Win XP SP3 or other compatibility mode). Things like installing legacy PhysX, moving installation (via Origin) from C: to E: drive didn't seem to make any change to ME1.

@EA_Illium I was te one who suggested that, so yes it helped me... I can confirm that I can play for as long as I wish with EA App on- and offline. Do not have solution for the ocasional not starting game (when it is present in Task Manager, but not even using CPU) - just force quit and try again.

Launch issues may be more connected with the EA App based on similar reports from other players are team is aware of.

I can also confirm that this helped my game last longer than 5 minutes w/o crashing!

So I'm having this issue too, except turning on the overlay makes the game lock up right after the splash screen. If I turn the overlay off the game runs fine for a couple of minutes then locks up. Either way I can't play the game, even tried a fresh install which didn't help

Please create a DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply. You can do that with the "Choose file" button at the bottom right corner of the reply window.

There is no ME crash registered inside DxDiag.

Does the game always hangs at the same location?

Do you use Mods?

Try to repair the game.

(Origin: Game Library > Right-click the game cover > Repair)

(EA app: My Collection > Click on the three dots on the game cover > Repair)
(Steam: Game Library > Right-click the game > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files.)

If that don't helps, please preform a clean boot and test the Game in clean boot mode.
(Make sure the "EABackgroundService" remains enabled under point 3 in the guide.)

Make sure your virus scanner and other security software and also Afterburner and similar software is disabled.

Make also sure that your GPU & CPU are not overclocked.
