EA is consolidating their services and phasing out Bioware social. This is actually a good thing! Plus, it is a pain to run 10-20 installers if you have a lot of DLC. Origin is just easier.
Also it has always been possible to buy Bioware points with PayPal? IDK what problem you are having maybe it is on your end. as far as earning Bioware points, making content costs money. hell even keeping the servers going isn't free. all of these things means that Bioware points cannot be given away for free. I'm just glad that the multiplayer DLC is free and the packs can be bought with (free) credits.
