Mass Effect 3 does not launch

I bought the game through Steam and have never played it on PC. When I try to launch, either through Origin or Steam, no new window is created and the Origin client simply returns to the home page. ...

    Thanks again for the reply. I didn't have any save games because I have never successfully launched the game. I had a hunch that the issue was with Steam, so I refunded the game, and bought it through Origin instead. The Origin version is working, so it seems I was right about Steam being the issue. Thank you for trying to help @holger1405

@Fermi_Paradoxx 

  • Turn the Cloud-save function in Origin off.
  • Make sure that Origin is completely closed.
  • Go to your "C:\Users\>your user name<\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 3" = "Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 3" folder and move the "Save" and the "BIOGame" folders to your desktop. > Test.
