Mass Effect 3 MELE - No Video over Display Port (PC)

Good Evening All,

I've run into an issue where the game (ME3) will not display at all over DisplayPort on PC, at first I was getting video but it was monochrome and looked like it was on an old 50s/60s CRT t v (See Attached Picture).

After this i managed to navigate the menus enough that i was able to change the settings to match my monitor 1440p@95, but now it does not display at all, and booting the game results in a no Signal at which point the PC must be rebooted to regain the video signal.

Wierdly the game works totally fine over HDMI, not ideal for me bc I usually have a drawing tablet that occupys the signle HDMI port on my Graphics card.

Any help with this issue would be fantastic,

Probably also should mention that i've had zero issue with ME1 or ME2 both worked over DisplayPort beautifully.

SPECS:

Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 (Latest Nvidia Drivers installed)

AMD Ryzen 7 2700X

Windows 10 Home (up to date)

Gigabyte Aorus Elite B450 (mobo)

Corsair Vengeance 16GB @ 3200

Game installed to a Sabrent Rocket 1TB NVMe

Monitor - electriQ 27" IPS QHD

    • Go to your "<drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games 3\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\ME2\BioGame" folder.
      (Steam: <drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\ME2\BioGame" )
    • Delete the "Config" folder.
    • Test.

  • Probably should mention some things i've tried

    • DDU'd my GPU drivers
    • Reinstalled the game Multiple times
    • attempted to run in windowed and bordeless mode

All of these had zero affect.

  • Did you try to turn off the tablet? Not software, but pulling the cord out of HDMI.

  • Tablet has to remain unplugged anyway when i'm not using it, so this happens only when its only DP that's connected.

Did you ever find a solution to this? I have the same problem with ME2. I had it with 1 and it suddenly stopped. ME3 also pulls up fine, for now anyway.
