Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer Account
I just recently bought an Xbox One a few months ago and I created a new gamertag because I couldn't remember the information for my old one that I used on my Xbox 360. Since then I have recovered my old gamertag. I was wondering if was possible to get all the characters I unlocked under my old gamertag to be available under my new gamertag. Would unlinking the email to my old gamertag and linking it with my new gamertag allow that to happen? Or is this all tied to the gamertag?
@ByteHalf Generally not, no. Progress would be tied to your old tag, and while in some cases accounts can be consolidated, doing so usually involves a loss of progress.
For now I'd say your best way forward would be to log in with your main account (to share your Xbox Live sub and/or your Vault games if you have ME3 from EA Access) then log in with your old gamertag when you want to play online. You should then be able to continue with your previous progress on your old account, without needing to make any account changes.Thanks.
