To summarize, this all began when I tried to play Mass Effect 3 on PC with some friends for the first time in a couple years. I installed the EA app (since the Origin client recommended it) and then installed Mass Effect 3 on my computer. After it installed, I launched the game and tried to enter the online multiplayer, but instead of it working, I got the "An online pass is required to access online features of the game" error. After some searching, I found this was a common account entitlement error on EA's end. (cm edit - updated thread)

Hello:
I know that previously people have commented on this issue, but after talking to customer service for quite a while, it has sent me to this forum to seek help....
The problem is that it won't let me play ME3 online. Yesterday I claimed the singleplayer DLC (Omega, Citadel...) and I can no longer access online. It tells me that I need an online pass. On PC there is nothing like that.
I don't know where I have to turn for someone to give me a hand. It makes me angry to have to finish this game with 220h in the multiplayer....

They should not have. This is an account related issue that should be fixed on their end. This has been a bug since the game's original launch. I've had this problem before and support was able to fix it. You'll have to contact them again and hope you'll get a support agent who knows how to solve this for you.

@Roki11 Wanted to confirm if you are able to access the content now or if you are running into issues? If so can you try repairing the game from your Origin library and check if the message pops up again?

Try contacting EA help via twitter and the website. Hopefully a technician can help you. It's a matter of patience. I had it fixed in less than 48 hours.

I have returned to play the game Mass Effect 3 on PC after been away from it a few years and felt the urge for the online multiplayer-mode but when I try to access the online parts i get the message "An Online Pass is required to access online features of the game". This can't be redeemed through the in game features or outside of the game. I have been in contact with several mail conversations and chats, they have informed their development team I have even reported a bug of this issue since im not supposed to get this message in the first place of what i know of. Since my problem is not solved they told me I should make a post about my issue here. Does anyone experienced this issue? If you have, how did you get is fixed

This has been a bug since the game launched. The PC version never had an online pass, so support was right that you shouldn't get this message. In the past, they would fix this problem on their end. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do about it here.
