Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer
I had to create an account JUST to complain about this.
The Mass Effect series is amazing. Though sometimes I struggle to know what is going on (the whole Quarian Flotilla episode in Mass Effect 2 being the most confounding) and the conversation (options) seem choppy at times (i.e. you pick a choice based on the feeling of what he(/she) is to say and it doesn't match up with the perceived outcome), i thoroughly enjoy the series and hope to play more in that series' universe.
Now for the complaint.
My comment on PSN is "EAServers F**KIN SUCK!"
This is true.
I cannot say how many times I have lost connection in mid-match (that is to be expected, but it shouldn't be as often as it is),
How many times my team has failed an objective because, say, the drone we are escorting falls into the floor and will not budge
How many times I use an Ops kit to heal myself just to die anyway
How many times my Cobra missiles fly through an enemy
How many times my character refuses to run, despite how hard i mash the "X" button - or how many times my character glomps onto cover when I'm clearly a few meters from it (I thought there was a difference between tapping and holding the button - guess not)
How much time I have spent in loading screens, just to be told I lost my connection, to sit through another loading screen to get to the main menu to wait for the game to, again, load, to HOPE the servers will allow for another half-hour of playtime
How many times I begin a match to watch one of my team-mates' avatars stand with arms (or one, as one of them is usually gone) outstretched. While this is purely an aesthetic complaint, it is further proof of just how TERRIBLE EA servers are.
I just cannot fathom why or how this S**T is so S**TTY.
EA is one of, if not the, biggest and most successful game-producing companies, but y'all can't spring to have anyone better than monkeys manning the servers?!
I would say sorry but i want to hurt those people's feelings. God knows they've hurt me enough with how often and severe I have to rage at the injustice. Really, I have a heart condition.
I will no doubt continue to buy and play whatever further installments are made (companies love to milk series for all they are "worth" nowadays, with Saw 19 and whatnot) and I am certain they will be awesome (unlike Saw 32).
But seriously. Mass Effect 3 gets a 2/5 in my book simply because of how absolutely utterly totally and completely awful the servers are.
I cannot say enough good about the series, but I love to say everything wrong with it. Fix this with the money we've given you. Thanks.
