Hi , i wanted to buy mass effect 3 for the ps3 however , i have bad experiences with ea games on ps3 specially regarding them having no hdd install at all which meant the constant disc loading times and horrible huge patch sizes (battlefield 2 has a 1.8gb patch) need for speed about 2gb
so any idea what are the patch sizes for mass effect 3 ps3 and any disc install or else its just some mb for save file and torture disc loading ?
Mass Effect 3 doesn't have a game data install on PS3 which is odd since Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2 both had one. There is a patch but it's a small one and not in the region of 2GB. 13MB according to the back of the box but I think the newer patches added on top bring the total to around 20MB. The patches include the option to import your save from ME1 and ME2 also which I would recommend.

You can go to the PSN store and buy the Digital Trilogy or the ME3 only version, download it (them) and install---no need of discs. As another player stated, the patches are approximately 20 mb total in size.
