Mass Effect 3 simply doesn't start

Last fall my game just stopped working. It was after some update or another and I kept hoping a patch or something would fix it, but no luck.

Whenever I try to start the game it STARTS to power up, but then nothing happens and it always lists my latest attempt as "last played". I asked for help on the EA forums, but the responses come really late and their advice never makes any difference. I've reinstalled Origin, reinstalled ME3, repaired the install, made sure the game is up to date, and done everything suggested in the thread:

Nothing has helped, and I still can't play the game I paid for, nor can I buy any other EA game until I have reason to believe it will actually play. And I certainly can't buy any of the ME3 DLC's.

Will someone please, please help me. I really WANT the game back and I WANT to buy the extra stuff and I WANT to buy Arkham City, but I can't until this thing is fixed and EA isn't fixing it for me.

Not enough information, and there has never been a similar guide for ME-3 to what may be needed, so if you want your fellow game players here to offer suggestions, you can follow the ME-2 guide (link to be added).  Meanwhile, you have made no mention of discussing this with any Game Adviser, or reviewing any of the collected FAQs where those people can be found.  They are on EA's Help Center.  AHQ is self-help, and so new that there just aren't so very many resident gamers here.

    Here's the guide to reporting:

    Hello,

do you tried to rename the "IGO32.dll" in the ORIGIN-Installation Folder? For me this was the solution.

After i renamed it, the game starts without Problems. You just cannot use the origin-overlays within the game.

    Greetings

This worked for me. Thanks! It gave some warning saying something like "the hardware seems not supported, the game will start anyway but with reduced performance and instability"... But it runs anyway

I still can't help asking, why would us need to go through all these to just start the game that we paid for...
