Mass Effect Andromeda Servers

For whatever reason I can't play ME:A Multiplayer unless i Specifically connect a VPN to Europe. As an Australian that makes the game unplayable. Now i've spent the last 4 hours testing different VPN servers around the world and Only European Servers can connect to ME:A Multiplayer. All american, Australian, NZ, African and Asian servers Fail to connect to any game and will just give you a "You have lost connection to the session" error But for whatever reason All European And British servers work totally fine aside from the insane and unplayable LAG.

@Da_HALOSHOCK Hey, if you are still running into issues with the MP, we can always help with troubleshooting, but with VPN access support is pretty limited as we don't really control how VPN works. Where you connect in-game is very limited and there aren't a lot of options to change that I'm afraid

What we suggest is to start with the following and see if they help improve the performance.

  • Hello, fellow aussie here, It's interesting that you have this issue as I only bought ME:A a few days ago and was having issues connecting to multiplayer myself, it would group me with others but would not respond to "pressing enter to ready" and then after about 30 seconds would boot me back to the menu saying I had lost the connection.

What's interesting is that i forgot i was connected to a vpn server (nordvpn) and so when i disconnected from the vpn and tried it again just on the base connection it worked for me... I wonder if it's some sort of firewall or DNS issue, not sure who your vpn is with but nord overrides dns and a few other things when connected and tends to be the root cause if i'm having network (both lan / wan) issues, I also find that if the vpn doesn't "disconnect" properly it can leave the connection partially or sometimes very broken, In this case i generally find that killing both the vpn gui app *and* the background process then running thru cmd (as admin) ipconfig /release + ipconfig /renew will get the network connected properly again.

I also use nord vpn but i can't connect to any game at all without using it to connect to europe. it will load the lobby with the player character on the left had slot but the players selected character will be empty then when licking ready the game will kick you shortly saying you have lost connection to the game. as soon as i use the vpn almost the same thing happens but i can see my selected character and i can join the game, but i have a ping of around 500.
The discord server i'm in stated this and is why i got the vpn in the first place it's also a great place to match make, I assume... can't play the game myself. here's a link to the website. https://www.n7squad.com/quality-of-life

  • Having a similar issue in the US. Tried to launch a game with 3 friends, but couldn't connect to the one that was remote: the one on the same network could play just fine, but connecting over the internet was not working. None of us were using VPNs.
