  • Hi askavian,

I'm new to the forums so learning as I go, thanx for the feedback of course but don't be so damn rude about it. If yu don't like what we're chatting about then ur in the wrong place. Ur the first to mention this so can't be that much of an issue can it.

Ur point about EA only caring about 3games is useless, Mass Effect is huge. It's an awesome series and it's the media's fault that all these negative reviews have been blown well out of proportion. It's not a bad game, bioware did a great job with Andromeda and most of us are happy with it. All games have bugs these days, yes it had its fair share of the bugs but that doesn't make it what some peeps are calling a failure! That's ridiculous 😂. I have no idea why theyve attacked Andromeda so much, I've enjoyed it since release. I no there are some players out there who've experienced more issues than some, but alot of these have been fixed. I'm sure bioware are still hard at work trying to fix the worst bugs that are left. Tell you what tho, I refuse to believe EA or BioWare will give up on this series because of all this, look at how many sales the game managed. Plus there's so many story's left to tell, and it has a huge fan base that will demand more games. But there working on so much atm with Anthan and Star Wars etc so
    😕

    Hey Fr0st223

Of course, you should take YongYea with a grain of salt. In fact, you should take every Video on YouTube with a grain of salt. He is obviously speculating and he is just one guy who shares his own opinion.

But right now, there is no statement from EA or BW. There was nearly dead silence ever since the game released and that naturally leads to speculations, because "silence" nearly always means nothing good in the game industry.

"2 more books coming + some patches + mp support" <- This is, of course, all true, but this is also the bare minimum. Remember Aliens: Colonial Marines. Even that * game got three big content DLCs, although nobody bought it because they were legally bound to do so.

I am sorry, but I have just seen to much * lately to still have faith. I am pretty sure, if there was anything coming in terms of DLC, they would at least be teasing us in some way..

I also enjoyed MEA (with all its faults) and I would like to see it continue.

  • Hi LocoShep

I did not know I was rude. If that is that case, I will apologize.

Of course, the "EA only has three games"-point was overly simplified. Sim City or Mirror's Edge for instance.

But here is the problem. The three games I mentioned are EA's cash cows, so I believe, when a series is underperforming, or EA's suits think they can do better, they will try to tap into the audience of their biggest seller and generally make it more shooter-esque and simplified. That is why I did not like ME3 very much.

MEA, of course, was different. They went back to being about exploration and I do in fact like the game.

    Hey@askavian

Well, yes Yong is sharing his own opinions but I simply don't like the way he's doing that. I don't need to hear that BW f**** up a thousand times. That's not because I'm refusing to accept there might be also an option that it won't end well for MEA in terms of it's future but because I just like to think positive and keep my hope alive until the end. Which is why I can live without watching vids like that. It makes me feel better and won't ruin my experience with the game so I can always play it again without bad feelings. So if their decision is that MEA won't get any dlc or sequel I wanna hear it directly from BW / EA and no one else.

Anyway, IIRC BW's normal strategy is to announce future content just a few days / weeks before it's release... That brings me back to Jules De Jongh's tweet about voicing Cora back in May which of course, could be only about upcoming patches and voice fixing or whatever but that'd be a total waste of resources. I mean, Cora's storyline/romance was ok and one of the most comprehensive in comparison to other characters so I don't think it requires more scenes or fixing because I'm not aware of any issues that seriously need re-recording. So only option left is future content or she was joking and I was just dreaming. 😃😃

So these little things make me think that something's still happening. However, I totally understand your lack of faith as there seems to be no reason to believe. Silence is one of the most frustrating things and it always has some consequences. On the other hand, announcing something (if there's something) sooner than it's actually ready to go is also a bad decision that only brings back another s***storm because there're players who need more patches instead of DLC or think that MEA should be buried for good. So it's really a difficult situation....

Despite everything, I believe that sooner or later we'll get either good news or bad news that'll end these rumors. 🙂
