Mass Effect Legendary Edition random skipping dialogue [ME1]

Is anyone else having an issue with dialogue skipping for no reason? For instance I'll be talking to an NPC and for some reason some or all of a sentence they're saying will be skipped as though I pressed the skip button when I hadn't pressed anything.

If it helps, I am playing the digital download version of ME1-Legendary Edition on an Xbox One X connected via HDMI to a Samsung 55in 4K curved smart tv (model# UN55RU7300FXZA) with HDR and "Game Mode" enabled.
