Mass Effect Legendary Native Controller Support?

Hello All,

Can someone tell me if there is supposed to be native controller support for ME Legendary Edition or do i need DS4?  

My PS4 controller works fine in the Launcher, but after i select a game to play it doesnt work in the game itself.

NB:  I bought this on Origin platform
