Mass Effect on Windows 7 64 Btis

Edit: Does it give an error message?

Without the patch applied, it cannot run on Windows7 at all; I am fairly certain it crashes so quickly that no error message is offered.  

I read that you must update your audio drivers to make it work as you have to run it as an administrator.

I recently purchased all three mass effect games through origin. I installed all three, but when i try to run mass effect nothing happens it syncs with cloud then nothing. If i try running as admin the same thing happens. If I try in compatibilty mode i get an error message as follows

Missing required file "ssleay32.dll" If i look in the game folder teh file is there.

Does anyone know how to correct this error as I would liek to play the games in order

Refer to the rest of the message thread.  The unpatched game always did that in any Windows7 version, and it seems EA didn't choose to "pre-patch" the Trilogy version. 

I downloaded and installed the game through Origin and when I try to run the patch it says that Mass Effect is not installed.  Very frustrating.

Did you download the patch from the website or did you look for updates through Origin?

When i try to install the patch it says that there is no mass effect in my computer,
When i try to launch it with compatibility resolutions it says that ssleay32.dll is not there.
What is happening?
