Mass Effect Will Not Start in Windows 7

i tried changing the compatibility mode and running as administrator and it just won't launch my mouse shows its loading and then just doesn't do anything. I'm not sure what I could to to get it to work and I know many people have it working. even when it was first installed it didn't launch ☹️

If you're using EA/Origin, disable "Sync with cloud" (at least until everything else is working properly.)

[EDIT: Oh, and you have applied the 1.02 patch, right?]
