That might be, but I really can say for sure.
The problem is that the game is out of studio support for years now, meaning a fix for this is rather unlikely.

Sony put a disclaimer up for all ps4 games when playing on ps5 to say some features may not work properly so I'm not going to expect anything from there either.
I replayed me1-3 and doing andromeda for the story before the next me comes out.... Which should be a ps5 native game and run properly
