I had pretty good performance. Didn't cap the framerate and looked fine with AMD Freesync on my monitor. I play 1080p though. Not higher. (an ol' Vega 56 - really heats up the room)
Had a few hangs in the AVP and R&D screens and I noticed some missing stuff here and there, with some locations not clearing or not having chests so they could be marked clear.
And the Old Skinner mission. I killed the architect on Kadara with an augmented inferno rifle that had ricochet and beam conversion and somehow it didn't register as killed, even though I was able to tie up the mission practically, just not on paper. Even showed up in the atmosphere and I got xp from the scan in orbit. lol
Other than that, had a couple interaction or mission triggers not happen right the first time with minor things, just had to leave and come back. And there were a bunch of misterious mission objectives on Voeld that were dead ends but on the map, until I found the right triggers to start them. Again nothing major at all.
Also being locked out of all the remnant data cores if not discovered on first occasion was a bit sad, but it was just xp anyway.
That said, I really appreciated the amount of work the dev. team was able to squeeze into the game, new engine grief and all.
Never touched the Apex part of the game though. Didn't really need ultimate max equipment anyway. Level VIII was plenty.
@Gan_XodosThe reason for capping FPS is to save some resources for new situations like a dialog between party members, missions updates and other things. Uncapped the game engine will make use of most of the resources (do not mistake game resources with windows resources) and most of what problems you encounter could be avoided by capping the FPS for a 15-20 lower than what you get uncapped. It won't make any visual difference but it will help in terms of scripts running (perfect test would be accessing R&D station).
Apex affects the gameplay only by reward, the xp goes for apex team not to Ryder. That is like a gateway between single player and multiplayer and I only use it for extra research data and credits.
