I have the game on Origin.
I have one of the newer XBON controller that came out with the Serie X/S.
The controller firmware is up to date.
Windows is up to date.
The controller behaves fine in the launcher where it shows the 3 games, snappy and well behaved. However as soon as I launch ME1 or ME2 the A button is all of a sudden mapped to X on the controller and often times the left thumb stick up/down would be reversed (D-Pad behaves normally).
Any suggestions?
Edit: I will add that while browsing for work around I noticed that steam's extended XBOX controller support does seem to fix this. However with that option turned on my Origin version of the game will only open to the launcher and when I try to launch any of the 3 games it will just hang. Is the lesson here to give less money to EA and just buy the Steam version?
I was having this issue, and so I disconnected my Series X/S controller and connected an older Xbox One controller and it fixed the issue. A weird problem for sure.
- 4 years ago@Zazzuki Unfortunately I don't have an older XBONE controller around, hopefully they can patch this within a week or so. I would really prefer to play this on my TV rather than monitor.
- MoonBaggins4 years agoRising Newcomer@KrokoSchnappi So I just reconnected the Series X controller and it works now too. Maybe just try disconnecting and reconnecting it? Playing this one on the couch is definitely the way to go, I agree with you. Hope you can get it to work.
- 4 years ago@Zazzuki Unfortunately I tried both of my XBONE controllers (I think both are newer) and same issue. I might see if I can download the new Beta software that's replacing Origin to see if it's an Origin issue. I disabled Origin overlay just in case that's the issue and I don't think that's the issue.
