@technotimber You are supposed to get a cutscene when approaching that door. I will include a link to a youtube video showing one of my runs through this in MELE. Hopefully, Holger's advice will get you past this, as it isn't a common issue and may or may not be fixed in a patch simply because I have only heard one other person having this on this forum.

I’m playing on Xbox. But no cut scene, unless you mean with the guy (no spoilers)… but yes that happened. It was a known bug in the original. In fact, if you google it, you’ll find a ton of issues with it from the original which I did play through.
It’s my fault for not creating more saves for sure. But i also shouldn’t have to do that to make sure the game progresses properly.
And you’ll notice the green light on the door is not activated.
@technotimber This is kind of a long shot, but try driving the Mako and then running as far away from the door as the map will allow, saving and quitting, then coming back. That might force the game to reload the relevant data.
Thanks! I gave it a shot, but there doesn’t seem a place in that section that you can go to load something different. I went back through the tower again, too.
I just uninstalled the game altogether, gonna install it again and see if that does anything.
