ME1 Citadel FPS Drops
Hi, I started ME1 earlier and was having a blast...until I got to the Citadel. Now I'm just frustrated. Essentially, the game has been running pretty much perfectly at 144 FPS. However, if I walk o...
You also tested the game in clean boot mode?
I already tested a clean boot, and already posted this with my last reply. It did not help.
However, I tested a little more on Edolus. In the center of the map, I let the Mako drive in close circles (only using A or D Key). At the same spot, the frames either started dropping in a jittering manner, then slowly recovered to 60 FPS while sitting still for a few seconds. After that, I could circle around in the Mako at the very same spot without drops for a while, then suddenly the frames would take a dive again in the low 40ies. There seem to be no pattern whatsoever. I hope this makes a little sense.
I can observe the same behaviour on the citadel while changing view angels, however the effect is more subtle over there.
Sorry, overlooked that.
To be clear, this is about to rule out any local problem, so we can give the CMs something to report to the Studio.
No problem. And sure, I also try to rule out that something is wrong with my system. I want this issue to be truly solved, and not insist on "EA being lame again" or something like that. I really do like the remaster, and don't want to play down the improvements made to the visuals. They are nice ... just not nice enough to justify the issue at hand 🙂
Hi guys,
I had the same problem here with both part 1&2 from MELE trilogy. Start the game and after a while it started with statering and framedrops.
Reading some of your conclusions that problems comes with fast mouse movement (same in my situation) i decided to try to play the game on my logitech gamepad.
Surprisingly, stuttering disappeared. If i move my mouse little bit, framedrop appears again.
There must be some interference between gamepad and mouse.
At the and, i disconnect my gamepad and game runs smoothly with steady 60fps playing on keyboard and mouse all the time.
So if you have more controllers connected on your pc (gamepad, whele...) try to disconnect all of them and maybe it will fix framedrop for you to.

After Priority: Citadel II the framedrop issue in ME3 on the citadel gets worse. Upon entering the hospital, the framerate drops down to around 30 - 45 and stays that way. Moving two steps forward, and the framerate is back to 60 again. Moving the camera results in the usual stuttering and poor framerate, just now down to 45 - 50 instead of 55 - 60.
On the presidium floor now it's down to 33 when I look from the cafe to the shops. A few steps in this direction, and it's 60 again. Look to the right, down to 50.
I seems to be a case of frame skipping and stuttering, even when the framerate is stable (leaving the Normandy war room and going to the CIC as example).
Playing at 120 hertz screen with inagame V-Sync activated and external Riva Tuner framecap.
Does make you wonder just exactly how much more testing and analytics we are expected to provide in order to be even acknowledged, while other threads with much smaller issues almost immediately get a response from a community manager.
