so I bought a Mass Effect 1 DVD-ROM and it's installed, but when I try to start or configure the game it opens the configuration window, then shuts down the game. I've re-installed it again and the same problem occurs and I'm not sure how to tackle it. any help?
Did you tried to start the game directly, without using the launcher?
If that don't works the probably best way would be to redeem the CD key in Origin and get a digital copy.
No, I installed it and used the launcher. It might be a problem with the computer because star wars force unleashed 2 cuts out before the opening credits get even part way through.

Try to start it from the "MessEffect.exe". You can configurate the settings in game as well.
Can you use Origin to redeem the key?
I haven't tried running it directly, I'll try to install origin and claim it from there, however it's quite old so it might outdate origin? Is that a thing that happens?

The first release of ME does outdate Origin, but it is on Origin as well, so you still can redeem the code and get a digital copy if this code was not used previously.
@holger1405the code work not on origin, but on EA Desktop. it's currently downloading and will see if it runs any different afterwards. can you recommend a forum in which to get help with Star Wars Force Unleashed 2?
I bought a sealed copy and can't find a serial number or product code anywhere inside to redeem ☹️
