ME1 (Win10) Quick Save doesn't work?
It's possible I'm an idiot, but F5 quick save doesn't seem to do anything.
Is there a fix?

@iAmZornhau There are times in-game when you can't save, usually in or around combat, so the quick save option would likely be unavailable. For other times, have you confirmed that your progress isn't saved? You could quick save, exit to the Main Menu, and resume, then see where you are.
- @puzzlezaddict Nope, this also happens in areas where you can save regularly, just not quick. And the quicksave remains the old one. And yes, I have checked that the key binding for quicksave is still F5.

What areas are that?
All areas where saving isn't blocked by the game, so most of them.
The problem turned out not to be one of the game: The F5 key on my keyboard lost function in mid-game. So I could still save, but not quick save. Only when a few number keys started to fail, too, did I recognize the true culprit and exchanged the keyboard. Sorry, I was wrong, quick saving works very well (again) for me.
