Sorry to necro an old thread but if anyone is interested, I got out of this problem by alternating left and right on my movement keys and then pushing forward. EX. "left" "right" "up" very quickly over and over until I was able to wiggle out. Not sure if it makes a difference or not but I was also rapidly switching my walk/run command back and forth the whole time as well.
