ME3 going unresponsive on the loading screen to Rannoch: Admiral Korris mission

I've been playing with no troubles up until I try to load this Admiral Korris rescue mission. The loading screen with the shuttle flight movie loads, the sound is there then it cuts out but not the background movement. Apparently this means the program is unresponsive. Anything I can do ti fix this?
