ME3 multiplayer button glitches

I never noticed this before, but it's happened on two different multiplayer matches with two different characters, so I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this.  Today, after playing a couple of matches, I found that all of a sudden, at some random point, I'll press buttons to fire powers or shoot my weapon and find that they just won't shoot.  I can still run around the field, but my guns won't shoot and powers won't do anything.  One game it continued for three waves, after which I manually quit the match, but on another game it started working again after the wave ended.

I never saw this problem before, but this can't just be coincidence that it's happened twice in the same day, can it?
