MEA Save Compatibility Between Standard and Deluxe Version
I search a lot but can't seem to find a definitive answer.
Big fan of ME 1-3 but never got around to Andromeda. I recently subscribed to EA Play on a 1 month trail for $1 on my PS5 and installed the PS4 version of ME Andromeda. I am a couple hours in and really enjoying the game so want to purchase it to continue once my EA Play sub expires.
The issue is that I am reading mixed reports that the EA Play version on the PS4 is the Deluxe Recruit version and that saved games from it will not be compatible if I but just buy the Standard Recruit version. Some say that the Deluxe version is just added content and save games are compatible and other posts say they are not.
Two questions:
- Is the EA Play on PS4 version the Deluxe Recruit version? How can I tell (can't find anything in the menus about the added content).
- If I started on the EA Play version, can I just buy the Standard Recruit version and continue or do I need to buy the Deluxe Recruit version to continue my existing saves?
Thanks!

The version is the top version for EA Play not the base version. If the current top version is the the DR version which it is, that is what EA Play Pro provides. You can see the differences on the EA Play article.

When you play a specific version, your save is coded to that version that has that content. If you play the standard EA Play version, and you buy the SR version, you can play just fine but if you bought the DR version instead, you would get those items.
When you load a save, it will check for all entitlements and content you own. So, if the save loads and gives an error, the version you own doesn't include that content. I would go through and make sure you know what you want first before you buy a specific edition.
