MELE Romance Achievement

A friend mentioned to me today that he cant romance liara 3 games in a row as he wont get the paramour achievement, is this true? 

Do i need a different person per game, or does it need to be a member of my crew in each game and liara being ME2 dlc doesnt count? 

Also does this affect xbox only or all platforms.

    Hey @GrimReaperTaken!

    Your friend is correct in this case. Liara won't trigger the Paramour achievement in ME2 as her romance was only available through DLC.

    That was kept the same in the Legendary Edition despite the DLC being included, and is true for all platforms.

    That does mean if you're sticking with Liara for all 3 games, you'd need to unlock the Paramour III achievement with a different playthrough or save file.

    Certain other crew romances won't grant the achievement either, so if you'd like to be sure it may help to check through a guide like this one to see your options.

    @GrimReaperTaken This is also the case for both Ashley and Kaidan who Bioware abandoned, for lack of a better word, in ME2 despite the potential DLC content they could have come up for them.

    What I found as a work around in the original release is to do all main missions and after the Collectors Base romance Tali and after the ME2 Paramour 2 Achievement popped on my 360 I reloaded the game prior to even romancing Tali and imported a loyal Shepard to Ashley, now it appears Bioware changed that mechanic no one had an issue with as when you try to do that in PS4 the screen goes pitch black and when it returns it places you next to Tali (in this case) yet the game treats it as you two spent the night together.

    Something like that and the Stasis Bonus power in ME2 appears to have been removed, it might not have been perfect but CD Projek Red went back in and finally launched a new patch (which I hear also has its issues) but no MELE patch.
