another update, so I had a thought that maybe the reason why I couldn't play online was because I didn't have EA play in order to play online and this was maybe the reason why it kept asking me for an online pass. So I bought the EA play monthly membership. uninstalled and reinstalled the game wasting another hour of my day amongst the already wasted 6hours spent trying to solve this alone due to having no help from staff....turns out the error is still showing even after purchasing a monthly membership to EA play....im seriously considering at this point of asking for a refund on everything and just banishing EA from my computer and memory
Sorry you ran it to this, and wasted your $ on the EA Play membership. To be clear: EA Play is not required to access and play ME3 multiplayer. You just have to own the game, which you do. If I were you, I'd try to get a refund on the EA Play (if the hassle is worth it to you).
You mentioned trying some of the solutions you found online. Did you follow the steps in this one?
In particular, the part about deleting the EA license files folder? If not, definitely try that one.
This is a not uncommon issue, but I'm not sure there is a rock solid fix other than trying the above. So if the above doesn't work, I'd suggest waiting for a response from @EA_Shepard or perhaps holger1405 who can further guide you (including the steps to get useful EA contact support help - which is inexcusably poor).
Good luck!
