Generally speaking. Unless you have loaded a game prior to this happening or starting a new game you can not know if it was fixed by a later patch as for you what caused it already happened. A patch can not make it undone but can make it so that an issue doesn't happen anymore.
I don't know if your issue was fixed or not. Just trying to explain how a patch works.

Playing this on Xbox One, and I had the same glitch. The game planet Voeld is very broken as a whole. If you die during a fight and respawn, the enemies disappear and never come back. I’ve had a lot of glitches and broken spots I pass over on this planet. It’s a very broken game
