Most Power cells you can carry in a multiplayer game...
I was asked a question in a forum private message earlier this evening, and the question was 'what is the max power cells a character can carry'.
I would imagine that the maximum across all characters with the best booster being used will be 17 or a whopping 25 on an empty resupply apex mission where it adds +8 cells
Case Study: Angara Avenger.
Sticky Grenade : skills grant a maximum of 4 grenades
Stealth Grid: skills grant a maxiumum of 4 power cells
Bioelectric defence: Rank 5: +1 power cell (adds globally to both grenades and stealth grid)
Weapon Training: Rank 6: +1 power cell (adds globally to both grenades and stealth grid)
Add onto this the Grenade capacity equipment pack: +3 power cells (adds to both grenades and stealth grid count)
This then makes the maximum consistent maximum cells as being 9...
Add onto this boosters for power cells and you can add +1, +2, +3 and +4 onto the 9 to make a total of 13 power cells in total, all of which renew in groups of 4 at the various ammo pickup points around a multiplayer map or from ammo and equipment supply points in single player...
Boosters/Power>
Power Capacity Mod I (Bronze/Common) +1 power cell
Power Capacity Mod II (Silver/Uncommon) +2 power cell
Power Capacity Mod III (Gold/Rare) +3 power cell
Power Capacity Mod IV (N7/Ultrarare) +4 power cell
You can not stack boosters of the same type any more.. so the most a booster can boost your cells is +4
so 9 from your skills+equipment.. and +4 maximum from boosters is 13. (21 if you are on an empty resupply apex mission)
Batarian Scrapper
A Batarian Scrapper on the other hand has got Flak Cannon and Concussive Shot. Flak Cannon is the Scappers largest ordnance pool so i'll use that for example...
Flak cannon: Shows as 9 maximum in the Flak Cannon Skill
Rank 1: 4
Rank 2: +2
Rank 4: +3
Add +1 cell if you've taken Munitios training 4b: Powers and Melee to total 10 cells.
Add +3 cells if you've opted to use the Grenade Capacity Equipment
Add +4 cells if you use the the best booster: Power Capacity Mod IV (N7/Ultrarare)
totalling a maximum of 17 Power Cells
So based on this any class that has got Flak Cannon AND munitions training will have a maximum of 14 power cells for flak.
The batarian scrapper can change his concussive shot to having 5 cells but can fire them in bursts .. but this still does not get anywhere near the cell pool for flak cannon. (max concussive rounds you can carry would be 13)
Most other classes i'm afraid have much much lower cell pools so are not worth comparing.
It is worth noting though that to get the most cells in any given game you would have to use equipment that gives +3 where you could instead wear the Enhanced Munitions package which gives you +30% damage dealt by combat powers. This for me is a major consideration. If you are very good with grenades and want damage to be your main focus per grenade. then Enhanced munitions all the way. However.. go back to my first case.. the Angara Avenger.. not only great with sticky grenades, but he also has to consider stealth grid.. having +3 cells for stealth grid would enable him to have a large pool of cells for both his stealth grid AND his sticky grenades.. and if re-supplies are very small or not existent then this would enable him to take the most cells into a game.
Turian Havoc Trooper
Again the Havoc Trooper uses Flak Cannon
Flak cannon: Shows as 9 maximum in the Flak Cannon Skill
Rank 1: 4
Rank 2: +2
Rank 4: +3
Add +1 cell if you've taken Munitions training 4b: Powers and Melee to total 10 cells.
Add +3 cells if you've opted to use the Grenade Capacity Equipment to total 13 cells
Add +4 cells if you use the the best booster: Power Capacity Mod IV (N7/Ultrarare) totalling a maximum of 17 Power Cells
The only other factor where you would have added power cells is on the Multiplayer Apex Missions where it is on EMPTY RESUPPLY.. you get 8 extra capacity added on when doing that apex mission.. so that would mean the absolute maximum you'll ever see your character carrying on any mission, will be 25.
Consider also that on 'empty resupply missions' where you can't restock from the ammo dumps around the map, that you CAN use ammo consumables which fully stocks you to the max ammo that you started wave 1 with.. so on empty resupply you can actually use 25*5 (5 is max carried consumable) to total 125 that you can use across all 7 waves.. or 11 waves if its that special mission.
