Multiplayer Legendary Edition
When MELE launched I was on board with the full singleplayer experience to ensure a good release but now that 2 years have passed (so fast wow) and I am revisiting old ME3 to play the multiplayer I can't help but wonder how much smoother the gameplay could feel if it was polished up and added to MELE..... possibly as a surprise N7 day gift to fans ??? Imagine that surprise reveal while we are waiting for a new game.
At this point I believe the team has moved on to new projects but thought i'd ask here to confirm, was it ever announced that the MELE team has moved on? Or is there a chance some of them have been quietly working on polishing up the old maps and gameplay for a multiplayer mode?
EDIT:
Just posted this and already another question, thinking about assassins creed franchise it seems they are seperating multiplayer into a standalone game/app. Could that be possible for Mass Effect? A ME: Multiplayer release that has ME3, MEA, ME5 all bundled together in one easy to find place?
Hey @GrimReaperTaken!
I have some very fond memories of ME3 multiplayer as well, though sadly I'm not aware of any plans to revisit the multiplayer for MELE or a standalone multiplayer release at this point.
Though this blog post is focused on some changes to SWTOR, there is a brief snippet regarding the team's current focus for Mass Effect being the next title, which I've included below as well.
For Mass Effect, we continue pre-production with a core team of veteran storytellers who are bringing the deep franchise history forward in a spectacular new way.
