Multiple Character save game selection ?

Community AdminI can confirm that I have 2 characters that I have at various stages of the game and I can swap between them without issue.
The save system should be basically the same as DAI's, there's a big save folder with some unintuitively named files. Inside the game itself you should be able to swap between characters, then their individual saves. Do you use any cloud saves/play from 2 locations? If so perhaps your cloud saves overwrote for your new character overwrote your local ones.
If you make a new character and save now do you see the arrows in the images below?

I will back up my save folder, and give it another try, I have been afraid to, after losing that one, or rather I just started playing the game, and decided not to test it, again at this time.
