N7 | Would you like Ryder to be trained in game?

No, absolutly not. I want this to be Andromeda and Pathfinder, not a Shepard-clone. It actually annoys me that I have to wear the N7 armor when I want a good biotic armor. In my opinion  they should have removed the N7 on the armor when they repaired and "adjusted" it for Ryder junior. No N7s, no Spectres. It's the Pathfinder now. This "superhero badass military above the law" stuff was fine with Shepard, it's time for something new.

I know they got a lot of negative feedback for trying to tie MP back into the SP storyline with the original series, but I don't see why they couldn't tie unlocking some equipment or special moves back into it. No different than pre or scaled up order bonuses. That would be like optional training that you could unlock if you wanted or skip without effect if the idea of training doesn't appeal to you. If you train, you got to do it with somebody.

Certainly - but without the N7 patch. Behause it was my fathers armor. And I really don't understand why Alec had his N7 although he was discharged - dishonorably - because of his AI project. So why would he be allowed to wear the N7 at all? But I can live with it, I just want no new "alliance" or any other military stuff in Andromeda. I love being a Pathfinder.

I had issues with this as well. 

A cop gets discharged from the force - they have to hand in their weapons, equipment and badge. Maybe they get to keep the uniform - no badge if its tailored to fit them but probably not. I just couldn't see Alec being allowed to run around as N7 after being discharged, at all.

His training wouldn't change, that would always be with him but he was no longer N7 yet everything pretty much still acted as if he was. Shep would be pissed off!

He should have had AI Pathfinder armor, not N7. At the time of death, thats what he was, a pathfinder. Frankly i think it was just an excuse to put the N7 armor in game for players who like the appearance and don't care about the RP implications. Wearing Pathfinder to me seems like more of a tribute to Dad then celebrating the thing he was kicked out of.

That aside, going back to the original topic..

Chances are once everything has calmed a bit, there will be more official, specialized Pathfinder training but, also because of the Kett some kind of formal military will be required. It should probably have its own name though but it will more than likely conform to standard military rules, just like the alliance and n7 did. Those rules do have a place.

To wander with it just a bit further - does it actually say he was dishonorably discharged? I know some guides do but I don't remember the game actually saying that. I would of thought I'd of caught that. I know he was forced/drummed out but there's more to the scale than just Honorable/Dishonorable - BCD, OTH, asked to resign, and "needs of the service" are all ways to sweep things under the rug and most do not require a full General Court-Martial.

Add: I went back and looked, since it didn't sound right. Not sure about the world over, but US Military officers are simply dismissed.

I wondered at some point in the game, wasn't I supposed to be just an Alliance dog? The siblings left a remarkably suspicious track record for just "grunts". Maybe that little bit of N7 training wasn't a little bit after all.

Alec had a poor opinion of himself as a father, but didn't say anything about his skills as a drill instructor. I could see Alec making the twins do his own personal N7 course growing up

There is a mention about his discharge by Sara/Scott early on when talking to Liam but I can't remember offhand exactly what they say. Will see if I can find a vid.

I still felt/feel like a Spectre in this game, lol.  Even the Honest Trailer said something about that being the case.  Pretty funy stuff.

To me, it makes no difference.  In the end, we're still going to interact with people, make decisions that may or may not matter, and ultimately use skills and power and guns.

It's like they changed the name of vanguard to scrapper but it's still a vanguard.

Also, leaving the galaxy behind doesn't mean we would leave all of our ways as well. 

Besides, Casper's suggestion would allow for something very different to happen: to be able to pick our race in single player mode and there would be a story based reason to allow it.

So I could see why some people would mind connecting to the Milky Way, but I think there would be connections.  It's like you can take the people out of the Milky Way but you can't take the Milky Way out of the people.

Um, it's specifically stated that they got some N7 training tricks from Alec. That Angarian "ranger" you talk to, you mention that.
