N7 | Would you like Ryder to be trained in game?

This is another subject brought by discussing equipment. We talked about N7 equipment triggering some conversation, plus the observation that Ryder children are not N7 per se.

What do you think that you could actually have specialized training in gameplay? That would also come along the lines of another thread where we discussed the existence of a training arena. One thing that would come as a reward for your N7 training could be, in fact, your N7 equipment set.

What are you views on this?

P.S.: just for the sake of brainstorming, if or not possible to happen in this MEA or in a future game.

For just an Alliance guard and Prothean enthusiast, the Ryder siblings feel like an one man army. Taking down kett bases with only 3 people, saving the arks, destroying the architects etc.

I wondered at some point in the game, wasn't I supposed to be just an Alliance dog? The siblings left a remarkably suspicious track record for just "grunts". Maybe that little bit of N7 training wasn't a little bit after all.

Alec had a poor opinion of himself as a father, but didn't say anything about his skills as a drill instructor. I could see Alec making the twins do his own personal N7 course growing up

Um, it's specifically stated that they got some N7 training tricks from Alec. That Angarian "ranger" you talk to, you mention that.

Of course they wouls have, I assume they didn't just start working with him the moment they stepped into Andromeda. Liam was new but the twins and Cora all knew each other before.
  • Well N7 is an alliance programme, so technically unless there is an endorsement from alliance leadership,  I dont see the legitimacy of the programme if someone like Tann says go for this programme, and you will be N7, it just cheapens the N7 legacy.  As for a normal training exercise, they did that with the angarian warrior that's hanging around the cultural centre, quest was bugged though.  I couldnt complete it.

Yeah that quests bugged - both PC and xbox one. Hubs plays on PC and he can't turn it in. I play on xbox one and can't turn it in either.

I got it to work on playthrough 3 (didn't even see it on my original game). He basically offers you a place as a Heskarel (SP?) if you decide to quit being a pathfinder.

The npc wasn’t there before the patch, assuming him misssing originally was a bug 😂😂
P.S. I can turn it in per-say but the quest remains in the quest log as incomplete.

Yes I got that conversation too, but the quest remains incomplete.  As in it's still there on the map and not in the completed portion of the journal

LOL I initially thought it was an additional bunch of quest slotted in to keep fans excited, but since it's just that one buggy quest, think you are right lol.  They fixed a larger bug of him not showing up in the first place but not the other one where we cant complete the quest.

  • I don't know about N7 training but I would love to see some form of training group with the retired stg salarian, Avitus for spectre training, APEX and the angara special forces. Ryder twins could help out or go through the training. All species would be allowed. I would think to be N7 you would actually have to have somebody who completed N7 training to teach it. Shepard says she'll teach Vega to be N7.

I definitely don't want Tann to get a spectre group. Maybe the pathfinder is the new spectre.

actually there is an angara in the nexus that ask you some questions about the n7 program and give you a side quest that is suppose to be similar to the training about n7 in a way. but yes i also think that using that armor with out the rank is just mock on shepard, Alec and all n7 that really trained for the title some down the line through dlc or next game or and incorporated mission on a patch they should add n7 training and add it to the soldier tier to spend xp just like shepard had the specter training in the first mass effect

    @PretzleMe That's a good idea 🙂.

It reminds me of Assassin's Creed, Desmond "becoming" Ezio.

Ahh, yeah.  I guess my idea is pretty much exactly like that one, lol.  And perhaps on the final "special" memory you discover that he stored a special version of the N7 Armor on the Hyperion.

It's like sure he was disgraced but someone like that would have connections and still have some people do him some favors.
