That mod may help with the PC edition... but it offers no assistance with the playstation version. Sometimes, SAM is too quiet when it comes to quest updates, but when it coms to environmental warnings he's too loud, making it impossible to hear the nearby NPCs, especially on the ice planet as mentioned where there are heaters everywhere.
As far as I'm aware, there's no means of modding the game on PS4, so the only way to fix it would be adding some means of lowering warning volume. Second best would be an on/off switch for them, but I'd prefer them to be a little on.
The game is out of Studio support for years now, so I am afraid there won't be another patch.
