why would you even want to use an older save? but to star the new game plus just select a save and hit load it will than give you the option to setup your new character.

I'll give new game+ a try at some point though. but i read a tip from someone that says reset your skill points on your completed character before you start a newgame+ . anyone done this?
since MEA has no level cap you don't have to play as a certain class that is the whole point of the profile system. switch to the right profile for the right job. i mostly switch between soldier and infiltrator. i just started my third run (2nd NG+) with the same char and still have all my skills levels and profiles just the way i like them. you also keep all your gear, research and resources.
Handy if you want to start the game again on insanity difficulty without running around with lv 1 weapons etc against 500 enemies.. all shooting at you across entire maps and through foilage.. so the only way you can shoot back is to wait for them to hit you then fire back along the line of their own shot..
