No DLC for Andromeda?
Just read this on Kotaku

Here's my take on it:
I have to agree with some random guy who commented on twitter-- feels more "planned" than a "change of direction".
I mean, we saw it with ME3 too; after launch, the team went into long-term support mode and they kept actively polishing the game for a while. Add to that the DLC content, including the free MP expansions.
I don't expect it to be different with MEA.
Also, here's an official answer about continued support of the game:

And it's already confirmed that v1.06 wasn't the last patch:

Yeah but that official answer points to their blog post from more than a month ago, and in their blog post never once single player dlc's or story continuation were mentioned, while in ME3 it was boldly clear from day one there were dlc's on the making.
That's how I'm understanding it (due to specific mention of follow-through on what was promised). Bug fixes and MP support, no story DLC. I really had high hopes for this game.
I'd consider it perfect if planet scanning had hidden missions to discover like the original trilogy and if there was more voice work added for the crew to make them more interesting/emotionally compelling and maybe a few "changes" to Ryder's lines here and there. Could have it all fixed by end of summer. ☹️
To quote Nakmor Kesh: "Situation's gone to sh*t, pretty much sums it up".
I'm not concerned about the DLCs. Not unless they put it out officially, in our face, that "we're done."
"--you're keeping the lights on. You have my vote."
They seem committed to put it right.
Safe to say I am very disappointed that it appears as if there wont be any dlc for Andromeda.
Too much left undone for the Ryders (Mum, Quarrian Ark etc). So now we have to look forward to it forever being incomplete? :/

With ME3 they stressed continuing because it was the end of the series - the place where the story is done and people move on to the next thing.
ME:A is a little different and there's way too many half finished plotlines to expect no DLC or another game. It is way more like a couple chapters in a bigger story than a full shorter story.
